Location: Spruce Woods Provincial Park
Difficulty: Easy-Moderate
Distance: 1.2km (plus optional loop)
Ecosystem types: Aspen/Oak Forest, Mixed-wood Forest, Riparian Woodlands, Streams

The Spring Ridge Trail descends to the banks of the Assiniboine River, along the forested slopes of a deep, wide gully created by erosion of the sandy soil by freshwater springs. A number of small bridges cross the beautiful spring-fed streams and beaver-dammed ponds.  The trail is wide and well-kept, with a couple steep sections.  An optional loop to the west of the trail will take you to the Steel's Ferry Overlook and a spectacular view of the Assiniboine River Valley.
